❝ BB Cream

I have been researching into bb creams for a while now. I decided to try it a few days ago when I walked into a Missha store. Obviously not really knowing what I was in for, I was quite hesitant in purchasing a $30-something product. I stood there for a while examining the different bb cream products in the shop until a salesperson approached. I have been to their website quite a few times to research on their makeup products and noticed that some of their bb creams were in actual fact quite affordable. Honestly, I was actually looking for the affordable bb creams but were not available at this particular store. I ended up purchasing the most expensive one which is called "M Signature Real Complete B.B Cream".
The reason why I chose this one over the slightly cheaper product was because it was more suitable to my skintone. However, I was still quite hesitant to spend $36.90 but the salesperson was looking at me so I bought it.
I tried the product today and was quite satisfied with the end result. The salesperson said to apply a moisturiser before applying the bb cream so that it doesn't feel dry on the skin. The bb cream slightly lightens the skin and even with a thin layer of application gives a flawless finish. The only problem for me is the fact that I had eaten brunch and was chatting with my friend a few days before in the constantly moody weather causing my skin to become sunburnt and dry, making me look like an elderly woman with wrinkles. So now my skin is peeling and not very cooperative with my bb cream. However, from a distance it looks quite even and covered.
What I really like about bb cream or in particular this bb cream is the fact that I need not use any other face products together with it. However, I still like to use a little concealer under my eyes as bb creams have a rather thin coverage. But the thin coverage makes it light and barely noticeable. I also find that it works best with powder over it to keep the face slightly more matte and to set the bb cream in. So what really is bb cream? This is why I really do like this convenient and compact product. It pretty much combines wrinkle repair, whitening, suncreen and foundation all in one. So I think it's a great product for on the go or even travelling because you never know how the weather might be and with the UV protection of SPF25, you'll can be assured not to worry about sun damage. This is also a great product for someone who has sensitive skin as it has a non-chemical and alcohol-free formula. It is tested to last for up to 12 hours (however I have not worn the foundation outside so I don't know whether this is true yet) and it is also against animal testing.
What I don't like is the fact that they only have 2 main shades/tones and perhaps having a few more can help for a truer tone. But then again, it is whitening cream so it doesn't matter if you're a few shades darker than the actual bb cream.
Overall, I rate this product 8/10 because I still don't know the long lasting capabilities :) Have fun experimenting with the different brands and types of bb creams. They're all slightly different to suit different skin types. However, if you don't know where to start, I recommend the M Signature Real Complete B.B Cream (Missha) or the Skin79 Miniature Set because it has a variety of different bb creams in smaller packaging so that you can test out which one best suits you (but I haven't tried this).
